Longevity Now, A Five-Part Approach to Detox, Weight Loss, Super Immunity, and Total Rejuvenation

Creator: David Wolfe | Health & Fitness - 2013-10-15

In Longevity Now, Wolfe exposes the number-one cause of all degenerative illness and aging: calcification.

About this book
Lose weight, boost your immunity, cleanse your blood and organs, and live longer and happier with this comprehensive five-part approach created by leading nutrition and raw food authority David Wolfe. In Longevity Now, Wolfe exposes the number-one cause of all degenerative illness and aging: calcification. Caused by an excess of calcium and the presence of nanobacteria, calcification can be found in some degree in virtually every adult and even some children. It leads to a plethora of illnesses and manifests as achy joints, hardened arteries, cellulite, cysts, kidney stones, gallstones, dental plaque, cataracts, and bone spurs, among many other health problems. By breaking down calcification and removing parasites, heavy metals, and other "unwanted guests" from your system, you can reverse the aging process and eliminate the prospect of degenerative disease from your future. Part 1 of the Longevity Now Program focuses on supplements to dissolve the buildup of calcium in your system, leading to freer movement, a clearer head, and a lighter step. Part 2 focuses on boosting your immunity, using a variety of supplements to make your body as resilient as possible. Part 3 focuses on rejuvenating each and every cell of your body with nutrient-packed supplements and superfoods. Part 4 focuses on using special electromagnetic grounding technologies to eliminate parasites and reconnect you with the rhythmic cycles of Earth's energy field. Part 5 focuses on deep-tissue bodywork and yoga, so that you can move blocked energy around and break up stagnation in typically unaccessed parts of the body. In addition to all this, Wolfe offers abundant additional information to help you more fully live the Longevity Now lifestyle, such as foods to avoid, healthful alternative sweeteners, delicious recipes, and more tips and tricks to keep you on the path of rejuvenation, radiant health, and full-throttle vitality.

Awesome Unit - If you have sense enough to use it right.....

OK - I don't usually write reviews, but I do read a ton of them and yes, some of them sound like they are written by manufacturers of the product while others sound like they may be from the competition. If you weed through enough of them though, you can basically get the down and dirty of what the product can and can't do.I am here to tell you what I found out.I read a lot of reviews on numerous websites about this little product after seeing the infomercial on it. I never did the MagicBullet, but heard good things about it from some friends who owned one. After hitting the juice craze recently, I became quickly frustrated with the tossing out of all that good pulp which I was sure was being wasted and could be good nutrients for the body, just being tossed out. Prep time on top of that and the clean up was becoming quickly a chore. I am convinced on the benefits of fruits and veggies and to date have lost more than 50lbs since Jan incorporating juicing... 5/5 David S. LOVE the Nutri Bullet!!

I had not seen the infomercial when I purchased this. I was looking for a powerful smoothie maker after my smoothie blender died. The base is MUCH heavier/substantial and well made than the Magic Bullet. It also looks more expensive/nice. I know this because I was at Target examining them both closely. The 600 watts of power has been great to tear through kale, chard, frozen berries, almonds, chia seeds. I love the consistency of the smoothie when I am done. it is not a complete liquid, but really well blended. I love that you keep the nutrition of the pulp. It is not like my first old juicer that left the pulp out of the juice, but also the nutrition. It was a NIGHTMARE to clean. Then I bought the smoothie blender that is now kaput! The Nutri Bullet literally rinses clean in ten seconds. Obviously rinse it right after you are done using it. My daughter won't touch anything green and we put kale, chard, broccoli and fruit, berries to make it NOT green and she likes it. Honestly we are... 5/5 HappyCampers - See all my reviews This review is from: Nutri Bullet NBR-12 12-Piece Hi-Speed Blender/Mixer System (Kitchen) I had not seen the infomercial when I purchased this. So Thrilled - One week, down 9.5 lbs.

Love to read reviews but rarely do I take the time to write them. From the moment I saw the NutriBullet on TV, I was on a mission to find one locally. Target $99, $105 included tax. Mine came with the Quick Start booklet, the User guide and Recipe booklet, as well as all the mixing/drinking cups, lids, rims, etc. One reviewer mentioned how eating salads was becoming monotonous/bunny food. Agree. Even though I dressed them up with tilapia, salmon, etc., it still just got old. Now, on to my REVIEW: I started with the Phase I Toxin Cleansing Blast. I had one on Tuesday, May 1. OMGosh it was so good and was liquefied, no gritty bits, so no worries there. Day two, I had two of the same (Toxin Cleansing Blast) drinks. Both nights I saturated my sheets with sweat (TMI?). I lost three pounds but chalked it up to water loss. The remaining of the week I have been drinking three NutriBlasts a day, alternating between the Vita-Berry and Nutty Nectar blasts as I have still... 5/5 D. Good GREEN! ...and a couple of warnings

I love to juice vegetables and fruits and I have a good friend who literally dragged himself off Death's Door by juicing vegetables that allowed him to heal up from an obesity-caused ailment. I can't think of any better endorsement than that. While it is easy to juice fruits and carrots and cucumbers, greens add a lot more to a healthy mixture and also allow you to eat MORE servings of those deep green vegetables as well as change the balance of your body to a more healthful one.The author gives you advice on how to make green drinks, which do not necessarily require a juicer, in fact, he informs us that blending (breaking down cell walls of the veg) and triturating juicers do a better job and get you more nutrients (one brand of triturating juicer is the Omega, which I always recommend to my friends. It is listed as a "masticating" but it is also called triturating.) So you actually don't have to have a juicer, per se for this book. A blender can work.The... 5/5 Joanna Daneman (USA) - See all my reviews, April 22, 2012

    Best for Beginners

I wanted new ideas for making green smoothies/juices and purchased this book after reading some of the excerpts online. After receiving it, I found that the introduction part is misleading. The author mentions that people new to green smoothies/drinks favor large amounts of fruit and only a small amount of greens, but that people should transition to a larger greens-to-fruit ratio. He implies that his recipes will have more greens than what beginners like, but they do not. The majority of the recipes are mainly fruit with only a small portion of greens added.I also thought it was interesting in the introduction that the author mentions adding some pumpkin puree to his smoothies and that he uses it just about every day. This was a new idea for me, so I was hoping he would have many recipes using pumpkin, but there is only one in the book. Does this mean he has the same smoothie every day? So much for wanting variety, I guess. There are nice pictures in the book,... 3/5 SuzeQ2U (North East, PA USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) More powerful than a speeding (older) Nutribullet; worth it?

UPDATE: Many people are reporting problems with the blades, even after a redesign of the seals. Heavy use may result in the blade getting liquid into the seal area causing rust, or blades can break. I have not had this happen, but read ALL the reviews. Some people have had a bad experience. I have had good luck but there seem to be many who have not.The Nutribullet is a mini-blender that blends right into a mug or small vessel. It's a less expensive than blenders that liquify (like Vitamix.) It makes one or two servings at a time. When making smoothies, I want one cup, not a quart. I'm not alone in this--just about all of use want that, so the Nutribullet was invented and it was a huge hit. BUT...it had issues. The motor, being relatively lightweight at 600watts, would burn out if you used it too heavily. This type of blender is best used in pulses and if you read the fine print, the manufacturer tells you that five second bursts are about as long as you should leave it... 3/5 Joanna Daneman (USA) - See all my reviews, November 23, 2013

    Nutribullet 900 ..... a great purchase

OK this is an awesome machine. Obviously better than my 600 watts Nutribullet. The 2 extractor blades are really improved by getting it well sealed inside and out. By saying that it is relative to what people own. I had mine couple months after the inception of the first Nutribullet 600 model and I know that the blades has been modified/improved since then and before the Nutribullet 900 came in to the market. Check on youtube " NUTRIBULLET IMPROVEMENTS NEW VS OLD" and a guy (not me) shows how it was improved and these are both 600 models. Back to the 900 series, the 32 oz. colossal cup fits more stuff and that's a big plus. The flip top lid for me is just ok am likely going to use it less. So here's the difference in my experience. I use celery on my older model and I just cant get it extracted really well. So I stop using celery on my smoothie. But when I tried it on this 900 watt series I just cant tell and see the fibers of the celery. The smoothie is smoother than the one done on... 5/5 Marmar (tampa, florida) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Broke After 10 Uses, Nutribullet Wouldn't Honor Warranty

I bought this Nutribullet Pro 900 from Amazon as a Christmas present for my wife back on 07 December 2013 (sold by Speed of Light Distributors). It was delivered quickly, but then sat under the tree, unused, until 26 December 2013. Initially, my wife enjoyed it quite a bit. But, on 10 January 2014, after about 10 uses, the gasket ring on one of the blade assemblies came off. Thinking it trivial, we didn't think too much about that. But, we noted that the manual specifically states that the gasket ring should not be removed and if it does come off, we should contact the company for a replacement blade assembly. My wife confirmed that statement by asking on their Facebook page and they told her how to contact support. She emailed support, told them the story, and gave them a copy of Amazon's invoice. Today, Nutribullet emailed back and told her they wouldn't honor the warranty because the seller (Speed of Light) isn't an "authorized vendor." They told her she could buy a... 1/5 David A. I had seen this product's infomerical for years and had wanted for awhile. We get in smoothie kicks and I've bought shakers and even a smoothie machine with the front spout - neither worked as well as my glass blender I got back in 1992. But the problem with the blender was the cleaning! The smoothie product didn't just rinse off the glass and the bottom had to be taken off EVERYTIME I used to clean. Then I saw that the Magic Bullet blade is just one piece. I figured why not try. I liked the fact this one came with two larger smoothie mugs and lids. The blade rinses clean everytime! The only time I've needed a brush was when I used it to blend cheese and the cheese was sticky (velvetta). I did have to brush a bit when I ground up my peppercorns but so easy! I truly use this everyday at least once.It does take a little time for things to mix - you can't just count to 3 and it's done. Before this purchase, I read reviews about how poor the construction was, but I figured "there are so many more positive reviews, so I'm sure these negative reviews are a small percentage of users. But not really! Does the product do what it says? Yes. Does it work very, very well? Sure it does! Does it blend foods uniformly and clean up easily? You bet! BUT, those stupid rubber teeth on the bottom are so shallow and soft that they wear down very quickly, until they eventually (in my case about 5 months of near-daily use) no longer latch onto the teeth on the base. If you're going to write a great review on this piece of junk, wait about 8 months before writing it. Everyone loves it when its brand new, but few people love it after a year. Not ONLY does it wear out quickly, but somehow the blade actually shoots off of the bottom of the cup because the threads on the screw that held the blade in place actually stripped off and the entire product is useless now. Convenient but not durable

I am a smoothie fiend. I drink lots of it. So when I saw the magic bullet recommended on a smoothie aficionado site, I decided to buy one.I have a food processor which I also bought from Amazon aft some research, so I know it is a decent food processor at a good price. I'll compare the two.ProsConvenient - it is small. I can pull out the unit from the cupboard with one hand and set it up in hardly any space or time at all. I can use my hands and throw in berries and fruits, screw on the blade and blend away in less than two minutes. Clean up is easy. I can drink directly from the blending vessel once I attach the accessory. The blade and cup and accessory can be rinsed quickly directly under the running faucet.Power - it made short work of things I wanted to blend ... Awesome!

Picked one of these up from a different retailer (sorry Amazon-the price was too good to pass up!) after being very curious about it after watching the infomercial a few times. I've been using it daily for 2 months now and have been using a couple of the recipes as outlined in the included books that come with this set (in particular, "Natural Healing Foods") and a very strange and unexpected thing has happened...I've lost 8lbs...this, by no means is a bad thing as I'm overweight, but I did not see this coming!A word of caution though, if you're not used to having a couple handful of greens with some fruit and a few nuts as part of your diet on a daily basis I'd also recommend picking up a little bottle of "Beano" as you might find yourself doing a little "crop-dusting" for a few days while your digestive system gets used to all the extra fiber that it'll be taking in...just sayin'... I used it right away and it was easy, quick, and beneficial to my health. I had bought this for my husbands birthday as he had a heart attack and I wanted him to eat healthier. This was the perfect answer for him and for me. It is easy to clean, works so well it is amazing to me, plus you can make what you want, when you want it in small amounts with this. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , February 9, 2014

0 2/5 Alan (Texas USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: The Green Smoothie Bible: 300 Delicious Recipes (Paperback) This was a disappointment compared to Boutenko's "Green Smoothie Revolution." I was looking for GREEN Smoothie recipes. What this book contains, largely, are FRUIT smoothie recipes that the author tells us to add some greens to. For virtually all of her "green" recipes, she does not tell us which specific greens go nicely with the rest of the fruit ingredients of the given recipe. And she gives no quantities. So if you are looking for 300! distinct GREEN smoothie recipes, you'll need to go elsewhere. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , April 5, 2012

Chock full of recipes and resources

I was only interested in the recipes and had to flip through the first half of the book to get to them, but for beginners, that first half offers a lot of information about raw-food eating. As other readers have mentioned, the recipes are very well organized. You can go according to season, but there are sections for kid-friendly smoothies, dessert smoothies, savory ones and many others; for weight loss, mood, longevity, cellular health, bones and joints etc.Kristine's Australian raw food friends offer guest recipes, however these require a long list of ingredients and a lot of specific products available through their websites. I haven't bothered with these because the four or five ingredient recipes of Kristine's are more than sufficient. The back of the book features several informative websites for yet more information and recipes, so you get a lot of value. The only disappointment is that there is no appendix. I wish ingredients... 5/5 Beach508 "Beach508" (Cape Cod, Mass) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) A Little Something for Everyone

This is the tenth green smoothie book I've bought. It's GOT to be my last! The book opens with with an excellent, easy-to-understand tutorial on everything you need to know about incorporating green smoothies into your diet. This section is not overly long-winded, as in similar books. As might be expected, there is a hard sell towards consuming a high-raw-foods diet. The author discloses her favorite appliance for green smoothies, and it's not one of the two big names in high-speed blenders! She also discusses her favorite brand of superfood, and why. What I like most about this book is that the author categorizes recipes according to specific benefits. For example, she has some blends meant for enhancing bone health, high-fiber, cardiovascular health, high-antioxidant, low glycemic load, etc. A short introduction to each section explains the author's understanding of said condition which gives rise to how and why the recipes were developed as such. Excellent Blender - best one I've ever had, and I've had many!

I was ready to write a great review for this blender the moment I got it, but I thought, no, I should test it out, see if it fails to perform over time. It's been months and it's just been a wonderful blender, no problems. The pulse button is a very handy addition, because it modifies both HIGH and LOW buttons with one push, so it's very one-hand-friendly. It's got a strong motor, which is not too noisy ... you can smoothly lift the cups to stop it automatically, which is super smart. Altogether a very neatly designed product.I use it every day, so it gets a serious work out on a weekly basis. Grinding coffee, making soups, smoothies, chopping vegetables into purees (of course you have to add liquid, it's not a food processor!). Whipping cream, chopping nuts, blending hot soups (careful, only fill it half way and start on LOW), etc...If you want a compact, super easy to clean blender, that can go in the dishwasher (plastic does get a bit cloudy, but I don't... 5/5 Amazon Customer LA (California, United States) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great but must use wisely

I love this system! But I can understand why others have had trouble with it. I like it because it is fast, cuts ice like butter, and cleans up as fast as anything you will find. I too wish the cups were a little wider for easier cleaning, but found that a bottle brush made to clean sigg water bottles works perfectly as does a baby bottle brush. Also, it is very important to put the liquid first and the ice last, so that the ice rests on the blades with the liquid all around before you start grinding. Also, it is very important to pulse first to make sure that no ice cubes are wedged between your blades in the beginning. If they are it jams and hums and you need to stop it and shake it or even unscrew the lid to get the ice out before continuing. But when it starts with liquid and ice, it cuts the ice like butter, no kidding. You turn it upside down, screw off the blade top, rinse it off and go. It's that quick. There is no better, faster smoothie system out there. And although it's... 5/5 Amazon Customer "electronics junkie" (SC USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Perfect Blender Package

I read every word of every review before I bought the Cuisinart CPB-300 SmartPower 15-Piece Compact Portable Blending/Chopping System,White. As soon as it came, I read the instruction booklet (not the 4 page leaflet) then immediately tested it by trying the things that the negative reviews downgraded it on.I referred to the instruction booklet to crush ice, chop nuts, puree and make smoothies. By following directions, it worked flawlessly. It was easy to clean--even the gasket. The instructions were clear on gasket removal. I did have to do it step by step, but that way was very easy. The only two negatives for me were the size of the large cup (it could be a few ounces larger to alleviate the necessity of using the 32 ounce container), and the travel lids. The no-close opening and the general design of the lid could be better. Even with the negatives, it's a keeper! If you take the time to learn how to use it, I think you'll love it too!Update: Many weeks... 5/5 SJD056 (Nashville, TN) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) I have purchased three of these and I think I am going to purchase another. The last three still work. The first one was designed a little differently, more like the Magic Bullet. The last two are like the picture with the push button. The first I had gotten for my daughter when she moved out. Well she moved back in so I got to use it. I love it for protein shakes. Then I bought two more one for me and one for my sister. Well the son moved out so he got the oldest one. The daughter moved out so she got the one that was here that we were using. The third one was a gift to my sister. Now I don' have one here and I wanted to get away from the three tabs only because sometimes they are hard to slide in. After reading all the reviews I decided that for the price you cannot beat it. It comes with more blending cups than any of the others.
