    This one's a keeper

I bought this blender primarily for protein and fruit smoothies, crushing ice, and grinding coffee.Out of box experience was good, well packaged, simple. Tested it by using the Easyclean feature, and it worked like a champ. While it is noisy, it is quieter than I expected. Just don't expect to be listening to something on TV in another room if you are blending in the kitchen. The Pros:My first smoothie was done in seconds, no fuss, no muss. A cup of ice, two big scoops of protein powder, fresh strawberries not cut up, and 12 ounces water.I put in the ice and strawberries first, and pulsed about 3 times on ice to get a very nice puree of ice slush and strawberry, only a few seconds each. It's got power to spare. Added the powder and water, hit smoothie, and about 15 seconds later I had very happy happy milk-shaky-like goodness to enjoy.Cleanup and storage could not have been easier. So it's a keeper.The... 4/5 Dr. Geoff (United States) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Solid, serviceable blender for very little money

My older Hamilton Beach blender was dying. I did not like a previous Kitchen Aid blender I owned. The bottom of the line Oster I tried made a viciously ear piercing racket. In my dreams I own a Vitamix. Well..in the meantime I need something NOW. I looked at all the reviews of various strata and then said "just try this one" ..if it sucks well then it's a backup. Because if you are a morning smoothie addict like me you need a backup. So it shows up. The base is taller than my old Hamilton Beach but the motor is more powerful (700 watts). I like that the buttons face forward and require a bit more of a positive force to engage. I think this is a good thing. You are less likely to accidentally hit them and spray chocolate soymilk or whatever your beverage thing is all over the kitchen by mistake. This blender has "oomph" as they say. It fearlessly grinds large frozen blueberries to make a puffy aireated (bubbly) chocolate blueberry banana... 5/5 YeahSoMaybe? Great Blender

5/5 SBKaren (Seal Beach, CA United States) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Hamilton Beach Power Elite Multi-Function Blender with Glass Jar (58148A) (Kitchen) This blender was purchased to replace a Cuisinart that I bought at Costco that had all the bells and whistles and cost more than double. When it broke down after a few years worth of work (and that was my second), I decided that I would just get a good blender with nothing fancy. I got this and I love it. I use it to make pudding, puree split pea soup, and some drinks and it's really a good blender. It surprised me how much better it does the job than my Cuisinart! I love the pouring spout on top as sometimes it was messy pouring from the corner of my old one. I've owned this for a while now. I don't like reviews from folks that do it right out of the box. I like to use the product for a while to test it out. This one definitely passed. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , March 3, 2017

    Amazing Blender!

I got this blender for my wife for Christmas. She always hated how our cheap, $50 blender couldn't handle ice when making smoothies. I didn't know anything about the Ninja, but it seemed to be gaining a lot of popularity so I decided to look into it. The thing that really sold me on this blender was simply the fact that it could handle ice like it's nothing at all (it can quite literally turn ice into snow in a matter of seconds) and even though I wanted a Vitamix, I just couldn't justify spending $400+ if this blender could do what we wanted it to do.I also liked that it came with the single serve option, because not only can we get rid of our Magic Bullet, but sometimes blending is a hassle because we don't feel like cleaning the pitcher. But with the single serve, it is a lot less hassle to clean, plus there isn't anything wasted because we can make just the right amount. Basically it has all the same benefits that the Magic Bullet does. And yes, even the single serve... 5/5 J.M. - See all my reviews This review is from: Ninja Professional Blender & Nutri Ninja Cups BL660 (Kitchen) I got this blender for my wife for Christmas. Good but not great

We've had this blender for over 2 years. At first we used it occasionally for smoothies and cooking. Over the past year or so, my wife has used it at least 3 to 4 days a week to make smoothies for breakfast. She uses spinach, juice, frozen fruits, and other ingredients. It has been a workhorse. We've had a little trouble with the single serve cups locking in correctly, causing us to have to twist the cup at the right angle in or for the blender to work. As a blender used for cooking purposes, I've been very happy with it. It is loud, though. When/if this one dies, I would feel pretty confident buying another Ninja but I'd also be tempted to spend more on a Vitamix.Update: Like I said in previous review, we've used this blender fairly regularly. Considering the amount of use, I've been pretty happy with it. However, it recently stopped working. Customer service didn't provide much help. This review is from: BLACK+DECKER BL2010BG Countertop Blender with 6-Cup Glass Jar, 10 Speed Settings, Black (Kitchen) I wanted the glass for hot things (I actually brew my coffee straight into this and blend it), BUT it leaks! It's leaked more than a few times out of the bottom. We tighten it and rescrew it on, but it's never 100%. The plastic bottom is super cheap, and even with the lid on the liquid still shoots out of the cracks. They just don't make them like they used to! Great value and decent blender for the money

Great value and decent blender for the money. The glass pitcher is thick and heavy duty. The lid fits so tight and sturdy it takes a little strength to remove until it "breaks in" and loosens a bit, but that sure beats a floppy or loose lid that doesn't stay put when blending. I Have made several smoothies with frozen berries and ice and it works just fine. Like any blender, if your mixture is too thick and icy, some liquid needs added to get it to thoroughly mix into that "whirlpool" effect from the bottom up. Otherwise, you have to "pulse and spoon" the mixture down to release air pockets and get it to settle to the bottom of the picture for mixing. This is typical with any blender I have used however, and I have owned blenders from $19 to $450. I expect to get a couple years worth of smoothie and margarita mixing out of it and then buy another when the motor burns up or the gears slip. As already stated though, I am extremely pleased with the quality... 5/5 Showtime - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great blender! Let address the complaints!

So now that I've used this blender for 2-3 dozen times. I do believe I can properly review this(ninja master prep professional QB1004)!#1 Many Complaints about people cutting themselves with this blender....Well....the blades are sharp!! Use common sense!!!! They need to be sharps to cut up leafy vegetables!#2 Cutting of the outer plastic container. HOW?!? I haven't figured! The only way to do this is if the lid just isn't properly on. Not using common sense.#3 Blender melting to blades. Well this one had be worried. But after using it. The blades have yet to get hot in that spot. You would literally have to use this blender for 10 minutes non stop to make that happen. If you plan on abusing your blender. This blender probably will not work for you.Due to my worries. I splurged and spent 4 dollars on the 4 year extended warranty. I understand that 4 dollars on top of the 39.99 for the professional series type blender can break the bank. But I... 5/5 R. Thick and smooth milkshakes, consistent crushed ice drinks

4/5 D.L.T. (Buffalo, NY) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Ninja Master Prep (QB900B) (Kitchen) I bought this blender a few months ago, and have used it quite a few times since. This product is mostly made out of plastic, which makes it very lightweight. Also, the blades (very sharp by the way) are on a removable spindle so cleaning is very easy...which is important for a blender! The strength of the Ninja Master Prep has been impressive. I have made many milkshakes, "blizzards", smoothies, and crushed ice drinks. So far everything has come out the way I wanted it to. Thick and smooth milkshakes, consistent crushed ice drinks. For this cost this seems to be a very good value. Loses one star due to 1) not having multiple speeds and 2) I feel as though this is not a long-term/lasting blender. Just based on it's construction, I expect it to only last a few years. That said, I still think it's a value purchase.Overall, I recommend this product. Please let me know if my review has been helpful, and feel free to ask questions., June 30, 2016
